A training workshop on “Monitoring and Evaluation for Tracking Adaptation Plans and Investments” was organized on 21-22 May 2018 in the Gloria Hotel, Kampong Thom Province.
The objectives of the training workshop were:
- To improve capacity and skills in identification, operationalization and integration of adaptation indicators of various systems at national, sector and sub-national level.
- To improve data collection and analysis for measurement of baselines and targets of adaptation indicators;
- To share experience and lesson on M&E practice among M&E Specialists from sectors ministries, SNA and CSOs.
There were 85 participants, of which 16 females participated in the training workshop. The participants are officers of M&E units of key sector ministries (MOE, MOWRAM, MAFF, MRD, MOWA, MOP, and MPWT), provincial departments of those sectors from 6 provinces and other officers from NCDDS. Five training modules were delivered, the module 6 on CAM-CRDS was droped due to function deficiency.
The training workshop results are as the follows:
- The participants learnt the different M&E tools, the national results framework, and the ongoing practice of national and sector M&E, and group exercise in designing and operationalizing M&E of adaptation;
- A SWOT analysis provides a snapshot of issues, challenges, and strength as a basis for improving M&E of adaptation;
- A few adaptation indicators and data collection tools are discussed by the groups;
- The participants Learnt and shared good practice in M&E of adaptation, as well as adaptation issues by sector.
